Inclusive Research
Inclusive research happens when researchers work with people with ID on a research project. This makes sure the research team works in a respectful way. This helps respect people’s abilities.
The Sport and Belonging team includes:
- Two researchers and their students
- Three project consultants who are Special Olympics athletes
- Two community partners from Special Olympics Ontario
The project consultants and community partners are research team members. They have been working on every stage of the research. For example, they worked together to choose research questions. They will also help look at what the young adults say and help decide what it meant.
