Sport and Belonging

Researchers from the University of Toronto are working with Special Olympics Ontario leaders and athletes. We want to understand how sport helps athletes with IDD find belonging (or not).

We will interview 20 Special Olympics athletes. We will talk to them about sport and belonging. We want to learn what makes playing sport good or not good. We want to do this to help more people with developmental disabilities feel like they belong. We also want to hear about how we can make Special Olympics better.
